Does MotherToBaby conduct research studies?
Yes. MotherToBaby helps contribute to available information about the safety of medications and other exposures during pregnancy and breastfeeding by conducting research studies. Taking part in a study would NOT require you to change anything about your normal routine, including taking your prescribed medications. It will require phone interviews during pregnancy and after the birth of your child. Your participation can mean you’re taking an extra step to gain better information about the health of your baby. What is OTIS?
OTIS is the professional scientific society made up of the experts that provide the MotherToBaby service, and the researchers that perform the MotherToBaby pregnancy studies. OTIS stands for the Organization of Teratology Information Specialists. Teratology is the study of birth defects caused by exposures during pregnancy.
